FRIDAY, 6/6/14 (UPDATED)

Word came this morning that Mr. Hardy passed from this life around 2:30AM.  Her daughter told me yesterday that she fully expected her mother to pass because she was so low physically.  Arrangements pending.

Sue Blodgett’s sister, Gail Bishop, also passed from this life this morning around 2:00AM.  The family is leaning toward a Monday night visitation and Tuesday morning service but the arrangements have not been finalized.

Pray for these two families as they walk through this valley.

Margaret Ann Glenn lived through the night to the surprise of the hospice care worker.  In her opinion, she does not expect Margaret Ann to live through today but did say she has seen folks come through such situations.  Bro. Johnny & Miss Judy arrived in Guatemala yesterday so I can imagine they are under some duress because of this situation.

FRIDAY, 6/6/14

Today’s Bible reading – 1 Kings 1:1-53 Acts 4:1-37 Psalm 124:1-8 Proverbs 16:24

Thirty two years ago this morning I was minding my own business getting ready to run the buses, teach Sunday School, teach children’s church, et cetera when Lisa called and said, “it is time!”  Off to the hospital we went and a couple of hours later we welcomed Deidra Ann into this world.  So, happy birthday Deidra!

Charlie Wainwright is having kidney stones blasted this morning.  Pray that goes well.

Pattie Suthoff did well through her surgery.

Mrs. Hardy is not doing well due to her low blood count.  They cannot do the procedures needed because of her weakened condition.

They called the family of Margaret Ann Glenn in last night as she took a turn for the worse.  I have not heard an update this morning.

My nephew, Cody, had emergency surgery late yesterday.  They had to go get a kidney stone.  He did well through the procedure.

A “great supper” is on for tomorrow night beginning at 6:00PM.  Pray!

Deacon nominations due by this Sunday, 6/8.  Finance Committee meets at 4:00PM and Mission Committee meets at 5:00PM on Sunday.

Someone is stealing the corn from our patch!  I have narrowed it down to Bobby, John Milton or a mystery person.  Bobby & JM have their own corn so I am eliminating them.  However, this past Wednesday morning, a certain man was asking a lot of questions about my corn such as it is ready to pick, still standing, et cetera?  I am not accusing anyone but I am just saying!  Whoever is stealing it is eating it on the spot and leaving the cobs on the ground.  They just started night before last.

So, I am having to do a Norman Richerson and pull corn today.  The family is excited!  After hearing about Norman’s injuries and hospital visit yesterday afternoon, I am a little leery about getting in the corn patch.

Corn patch, weed eater and mower are all calling my name.  I had a snapper fishing trip set for today but get to pull corn instead.  Such is the life of a “farmer!”

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.
