THURSDAY, 6/4/15

Today’s Bible reading – 2 Samuel 22:1-23:23 Acts 2:1-47 Psalm 122:1-9 Proverbs 16:19-20

Louis Reyer was discharged from the hospital yesterday.

Bill Teasley was not discharged as he was having a pretty rough day.  It may be the side effects of the massive doses of chemotherapy that he received Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The doctors have discontinued the radiation on Jimmy Moates’ tongue.  He is really having a difficult time eating and drinking.  He will meet with an oncologist next week to discuss the chemotherapy.

Courtney Hubbard got a less than favorable report from the doctors yesterday regarding her malignancy.

Sara Nell Moulds received test results yesterday that were favorable.

We had a good day in our services yesterday.  Even had a profession of faith following the 6:30PM Bible study time.  God is good!

We have at least five folks who will be following the Lord in believers’ baptism this Sunday morning.  All baptismal candidates need to contact me personally for instructions.

The give away in the morning service yesterday went very well.  You never know what is going to happen!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 6/3/15

Today’s Bible reading – 2 Samuel 20:14-21:22 Acts 1:1-26 Psalm 121:1-8 Proverbs 16:18

Louis Reyer was given four units of blood.  He still seemed pretty wiped out yesterday morning when I visited.  I hope to find him much improved today when I visit.

Bill Teasley is thinking that he will be discharged from the hospital today.  Honestly, I do not see how that can happen as he has several things working against him but he is determined to go home today.  We shall see.

Chris Cavin worked past dark thirty last night on the playground.  It is really looking good.  I have easily determined that it will be here long after I am gone.  He did have some of the Danville guys dig a couple of holes and they dug them in the wrong place – go figure!

Regular schedule this morning and evening.  Pizza will be the fare for the 7:30PM Bible study.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 6/2/15

Today’s Bible reading – 2 Samuel 19:11-20:13 John 21:1-25 Psalm 120:1-7 Proverbs 16:16-17

Louis Reyer was admitted to the hospital yesterday.  His blood count was low among other problems.  I will visit with him this morning.

Bill Teasley was better yesterday morning and then had a little set back.  However, he is very positive as he moves forward in this battle.

I was told that Roseanne Baria was in the hospital but the hospital declared that she was not a patient.  Carol, will you let me know what is happening with Roseanne?  Thanks!

Carl Ray & Sara Nell have been seeing doctors regularly and will be seeing another one today.

Sierra Edwards told me yesterday afternoon that Eddie Whitmore had not had a good day.

Eula Mae told me on Sunday that her sister, Juanita, was doing really good in her treatments.

The Danville Baptist team went to the Light of the Village in Prichard yesterday to work.  Pastor Joe David told me they had a good day. They are going to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home this morning and then doing some yard work in the afternoon.

Chris Cavin was working on the new playground yesterday afternoon.  The young man knows what he is doing!

Prayer meeting tonight from 5:00 – 7:00PM.

Guys, please note that there will be NO TNBA tonight due to DBC being in the CAB.

Picked okra, squash, cucumbers and peas yesterday afternoon.  Lisa fried some okra for supper – just does not get any better – or does it?  One of the hens died yesterday afternoon.  You add fried chicken to the meal and yum yum!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

PRAYER REQUESTS FROM GUATEMALA

First, please keep praying for Carlos Raxon in his battle with cancer.

Second, one of fathers from our feeding center program passed away yesterday.  I have limited details but I think he was around thirty two years of age.  Pray for the mother and the four children.

Third, Mike Clark sent me an e-mail yesterday asking that we pray for four of the children living at Casa Alleluia who are dialysis patients.  These four are all have serious issues right now and need much prayer.

Zach Huhn leaves this afternoon flying to San Francisco.  Pray for him and this ministry opportunity.

Bill Teasley’s situation remains serious.  I will be visiting with him this morning and will be able to give an update later today.

Student Pastor Joe David Bailey and the folks from Danville Baptist arrived safely last night.  Pray for them as they minister in our area this week.

The Lord blessed us with good services yesterday.  The highlight of the day was seeing Tristen Skinner come forward to receive Jesus as his personal Savior.  He did that in the 10:30AM service and the made it public last night.  God gives the increase and we give Him the glory.

Three men were nominated to serve as deacons for three years beginning on August 1, 2015.  At this point, we simply need to confirm with those men that they have been asked and approved their nomination.  If so, we will not need an election.

Grief Share tonight at 6:00PM.

Very important service for the Friendship family this Sunday evening, 6/7.  Pray.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.
