WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, 6/15/22

Dale Ellerman’s father passed from this life shortly before 8:00AM today.  Pray for Dale’s mother, Dale and the rest of the family. Arrangements pending.

Michelle Fore’s father very unexpectedly passed from this life this morning.  Michelle’s parents live in Biloxi, MS.  We have prayed for Michelle’s mother numerous times as she is battling a malignancy.  Pray for Michelle’s mother, Michelle and the rest of the family.  Arrangements pending.

Miss Martez Richerson is at home but is not doing well.  Her children are all staying with her and Mr. Norman 24/7.  It appears the end is near as far as this earthly life is concerned.  Pray for Miss Martez and the family.

Steve Morris did not have his test this past Monday due to the doctor not being able to be present.  Keep praying for Steve & Virginia.

Continue to pray for Myrtle Bowden.

I do not have an update on whether Bill Goff or Lanell McConnell have been moved to rehab facilities.  Just keep praying.

Shawn Felps did not have any blockages per his heart cath on Monday.  Praise the Lord!

I am not sure if Rick Bradley’s father was discharged from the hospital.  Regardless, keep praying for Mr. Bradley.

Tim & Peggy Knighten continue to pray and wait.  Keep praying with them.

I am very grateful to our deacons and their support of this pastor.  Great brothers in the Lord!

A team of thirty five folks will travel from Dallas, Texas; Atlanta, GA (Wetumpka, AL team) and Mobile, AL tomorrow morning heading to Guatemala.  Pray for traveling mercies.

The revival services at Iglesia JET in Guatemala went very well.  Thank you to Evangelist Michael Mason for a job very well done in preaching the Word!  Pastor Jerry Godoy did an excellent job in translating.  Pastor Adan was a gracious host pastor.  Soy & Deidra were excellent hosts to Dr. Michael.  To God be the glory!

My first few days in Guatemala have been pretty full attending the revival service on Monday, in counseling sessions, leading a morning devotion for the South Carolina team and getting ready for the arrival of our team.

By the way, yesterday, June 14, marked the fifth anniversary of Soy, Deidra, Lizzi, Sydney & Audrey moving to Guatemala.  Wow, what an amazing five years!  Only God!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday evening and Thursday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 6/13/22

Good morning from the Mobile airport where Lisa are waiting to board a plane to Atlanta where we will connect to a flight to Guatemala City.  Many thanks to Eddie Albritton for transporting us to the airport at 4:00AM.  (I was not real happy with the fuel “surcharge” ($25) he added to the ticket but it is what it is!

Shawn Felps is having a heart cath this morning.  Pray for the doctors to get a clear picture of what is taking place with his heart.

Dale Ellerman’s father has been admitted to a hospice facility.  He has declined physically very quickly.  Pray for Mr. Ellerman, Mrs. Ellerman, Dale and the entire family.

Bill Goff remains in the hospital but “may” be moved to a rehab facility today.  What a great Christian gentleman!  Pray for Bill.

Lanell McConnell is also in the hospital with a broken ankle due to a fall.  She is in good spirits and is witnessing to everyone who comes in contact with her.  Pray for quick recovery.  I “think” she will be looking a entering a rehab facility too.

Rick Bradley’s father is scheduled to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow, 6/14.  Keep praying for Mr. Bradley.

Steve Morris was not in our services yesterday which most likely means he was not feeling well.  Virginia was present but I did not get the opportunity to speak to her.  Pray for Steve.

Tiffany told me that her mother, Myrtle Bowden, was doing ok.  Continue to pray.

Tim Knighten continues to patiently wait on further word from M.D. Anderson Hospital.  Keep praying!

A team of thirty something folks will be flying from Mobile and Atlanta this Thursday to make up our first GRACE Ministries team of the Summer.  Pray for them as they make final preparations to leave.

Speaking of mission trips, Johnny & Charlene Sessions had a great trip to Kentucky last week  with the Mobile Baptist Builders.  Good stuff.  Interested in learning more about the MBB, contact Johnny!

We were blessed with a good day in our services yesterday.  Ian did a nice job of leading our musical worship in Brad’s absence.  Addison hit it out of the park last night!  Thank God for His blessings!

It seemed that our VBS went well last night.  Thank you to all who are making this happen!

Friendship family, please mark the dates of July 20 – August 28, 2022 on your calendars as we will enter a season of prayer and fasting.  Then, on Sunday, August 28, we will conclude that period of time with a special offering for the purchase of the eighteen acres that adjoins our back forty.  Our goal is one hundred and thirteen thousand dollars.  With God, we can do this.  We will do this with His help!

I shared a bit of our vision in last night’s service as we look to move forward with some changes.  I have been consulting with our deacons for months now regarding this possibility.  More details to come!

Church wide fellowship on Sunday, July 3, beginning at 5:00PM.  Stacey Dyess will be the lead chef as he will cook up some awesome pork (think Porky)!  The members of the Friendship family are asked to bring potato salad, baked beans and desserts.  It will help if you sign up for this gathering.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

Sonny Bates will most likely be heading back to New Orleans in a few weeks due to some numbers that are going in the wrong direction.  Pray for Sonny, Jeanette and the doctor.  By the way, Jeanette is having pain in her hands which is not good when you are a pianist.  One of Sonny’s & Jeanette’s granddaughters broke her arm while doing gymnastics.  (One more reason that I do not do gymnastics)

My cousin, Bradley Turrentine, had part of one kidney surgically removed this past Monday.  The lab work shows that he has stage two kidney cancer.  The doctor thinks it was contained.  They have a plan in place over the next six months.  Pray for Brad.

WEDNESDAY, 6/8/22

If all goes as planned, Lisa and I will land in Mobile at 8:30AM, drive straight home in order for me to shower and be in the 10:00AM service.  It really depends on the ATL to MOB flight being on time or early!  Otherwise, Bro. Jerry will teach in my absence.

Pray for Robert Baria as he is having some health issues.  If he is not better this morning, Roseanne will take him to the hospital.

There is a surgery scheduled to take place today.  I am not at liberty to say who is having surgery but do ask you to join me in praying that all goes well.

Keep praying for Myrtle Bowden as she continues to battle her malignancy.

I am sure that I am missing some prayer needs but God knows.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

Steve Morris had the swallowing test which revealed no blockage.  The doctor wants to do a more comprehensive test.  Steve says he has been swallowing better the past few days.  He has his second therapy treatment today.  Keep praying for Steve.

I do not have an update on Dale Ellerman’s father but ask that you keep praying.

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and tonight.
