Scott Brian Pouncey, age 36, a resident of Grand Bay, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 20, 2023, at a local hospital. He was born in Mobile on May 4, 1987, to Aubie E. and Lesia (Baxter) Pouncey, III. Scott grew up in the Union Church community of Grand Bay and was a member of Union Baptist Church. He loved to ride his 4-wheeler all over the community. He attended Cottage Hill Christian Academy for a few years but graduated from Forest Hill Home School Program in 2005 as Salutatorian of his graduating class. Scott enjoyed playing violin with his friend, Elizabeth Ash, and teacher, Sharissa Manwaring. At the age of 17, he was First Chair for violin with the Bay Area Strings in Mobile.

Scott is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ann Crigler Pouncey and Thelma Baxter. He is survived by his parents, Aubie and Lesia Pouncey; brothers: Aubie E. Pouncey, IV (Karen) and Wesley Williams (Candi); sister, Katie Pouncey Noel (Jordan); his constant companion and fur baby, Ellie; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
A very special recognition to Bill and Debbie Kendrick for sharing their lives with Scott and his parents for over the past 19 years, as well as Gordon and Trula McClinton, Sonja Hunter, his brother Wes, and friends, Nancy Ash and Sandy Miller and Scott’s aunt, Lynne Ishee, for all the love and support given to us and Scott before and after the accident. “Your love and dedication to our son and family has not gone unnoticed and has tremendously blessed us more than words could ever describe!” God bless each and every one of you for all that you have done for us and Scott!

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Theresa Castille, Lisa Ray-Luna, and Doug Pouncey for their loving care of Scott.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, at 3:00 PM from Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Grand Bay, Alabama. The family requests everyone wear casual attire for the service to honor Scott’s life.
