FRIDAY, 10/1/10
BIG day today as the women will host their annual conference tonight. They have worked all week (plus) getting ready. Pray that everything goes well and that God is glorified through it all.
Big day for Lisa and me yesterday as we closed on our loan which means the actual construction should begin within the next few days. The dirt is in place so the concrete forms are being placed at Brad & Daphne’s house and when the workers are finished there they will move over to our house. We thank God that all of this is happening in His timing! It is hard to believe that we, Lord willing, will soon have our own house after 30 years of marriage. We are grateful to have the parsonage but having our own house is going to be special.
I wish Charles did not have a computer and/or internet access. He read where I was taking a vacation day yesterday to close on the loan. Called around lunch time to see if we had finished and then reminded me that I did not mow any grass last weekend. So, I mowed for four hours and ate enough dust to choke a horse!
Red snapper season opens today. The latest (it is 12:30AM as I type this) forecast calls for seas 1 – 3 feet. Tony & I are heading out as we heard the Crawley boys (Bobby, Larry & Tyrone) are going along with Neely Hatcher. If they can, we can! Joey Guidry is so weak as is Soy! Both said it will be too rough, too choppy, whine, whine, whine! Watch the sports section on the 6:00PM news tonight as we may very well be shown with some kind of record snapper. WT said he was going but I am not sure if he is because he was going with some high dollar folks out of OB.
I plan to post again tomorrow to talk about Sunday’s services.
