SATURDAY, 2/19/22

Donnie Felps has been admitted to the hospital and is facing two surgical procedures with the first scheduled to take place this Monday.  Pray for Donnie as he will obviously be in the hospital for several days.

Miss Connie Hardy underwent surgery on Thursday night as they put two plates in her upper right arm and a “cap” on her right elbow.  She “may” have come home yesterday.  Miss Connie is a trooper and she will bounce back!  Pray for her!

The specialist did another x-ray on Jayden’s right arm and discovered a fracture in his elbow.  So, he is now in a cast for the next four weeks and then they will do another x-ray.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.  Looking for the members of the Friendship family  to be faithful to attend.

Tomorrow’s 8:00AM service will be streamed live via our church’s website.  A password will be required.  Those needing to watch the live stream will need to send me an email (pastor@friendshipfamily.net) today.  Please note that I most likely will not be online in the morning so a Sunday morning request will not be seen.  Also, I seldom, if ever, have my cell phone on over the weekend so any texts will not be noticed until Monday.

Tomorrow, 2/20, marks the deadline to sign up for those wanting to take part in our June 16 – 23, 2022 GRACE Ministries mission trip to Guatemala.  This includes those who signed up previously.  The only way to sign up is to send me an email at pastor@friendshipfamily.net.  This is going to be an absolute deadline as far as being guaranteed a spot.

If anyone wishes to purchase coffee from Guatemala then contact Lisa (251 259 8072 – text) today if you would like for her to bring it to church tomorrow.  Cost is ten dollars per pound – ground or beans.  Cash only, please.  It can be purchased from Lisa’s office Monday through Friday.

The team from Moline, MI is on GRACE Mountain and is busy doing ministry.  Pray for them.

I pray that you will have a great Saturday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 2/18/22

I have not spoken to Debbie A about Miss Connie’s situation but will do so this morning.  Keep praying!

The celebration of life service for Carol Long takes place today.  It is an immediate family only service.  Pray for Jeff and the family.

Miss Vinnie’s son-in-law, Hugh, had a successful outpatient procedure yesterday and was home a short time later.  Praise the Lord!

Miss Vinnie’s great-grandson, Case, had a successful surgery yesterday and may be discharged from the hospital today.  Keep praying for Case.

Ray Stringfellow remains in the hospital but they think the things that have been done will help him.  Keep praying for Ray.

Keep praying for Andy & Betty Hamil’s friend, Pat Patterson.  Mr. Pat is one hundred and one years old!

Our grandson, Jayden, will see a specialist today.  He had a rough first night but was feeling better early last night as I spoke to him via the phone.

As far as I know, the team from Moline, MI arrived safe and sound on GRACE Mountain last night.  Thank the Lord!

Speaking of Guatemala, this Sunday, 2/20, marks the deadline for folks from the Friendship family to sign up for our June 16 – 23, 2022 GRACE Ministries trip to Guatemala.  This applies to those who had already signed up.  We have others on a waiting list and we must move forward with the purchasing of the tickets.  The only way to sign up is to send me an email – pastor@friendshipfamily.net.  Immediate action required!

Also, I have a limited amount of coffee from Guatemala available for ten dollars per pound.  Good stuff I am told.  Great gift idea. Let us know in advance and Lisa will have it at church this Sunday, 2/20.  Or, it is available at Lisa’s office during business hours.

Regular schedule this Sunday morning and evening.  Friendship family, please be faithful to attend.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.

COFFEE ANYONE?

I brought coffee from Guatemala when I returned home last Thursday, February 10.  It is available for purchase at ten dollars per pound – ground or beans.  It can be gotten from Lisa’s office (9:00AM – noon; 1:00PM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday) or, if you let us know in advance, Lisa will bring it to a church service.  Cash only, please.

Four dollars from each purchase goes toward buying materials to build a house in Guatemala for a poor person/family.  The older students from Colegio JET provide the labor.

Thank you for your support of GRACE Ministries.

THURSDAY, 2/17/22

The church office is closed today.  Bro. Jerry, Bro. Abel and I are all available in the event of an emergency.  Bro. Jerry is about to have the yard sale and Bro. Abel is going to be busy with soccer.  They both have some full days in front of them.

Jeff Long’s wife, Carol, passed from this life this past Monday.  There will be a private, immediate family only, service tomorrow in Daphne.  Pray for the family during this time.

Edwina Perkins is scheduled to be discharged from the hospital today.  Keep praying.

Jamie Coffman and the girls were in our service last night.  Dusty is recovering at home.  Keep praying.

Miss Vinnie Brewer’s son-in-law, Hugh, will have a surgical procedure at Vanderbilt today.  Pray for all to go well.

Miss Vinnie’s great-grandson, Case, will have a surgical procedure done in New Orleans.  Pray for that surgery to be a success.

Our youngest grandchild, Jayden, suffered an injury yesterday.  He “may” have broken/fractured his arm but the x-ray was inconclusive.  So, he will see a specialist tomorrow.  His injured arm is in a cast.  He will come and stay with me today.

Wow!  Wow! Wow!  The last night of our revival services as blessed!  Good singing, good preaching!  What can be said about the love offering except “to God be the glory!”  The Friendship family gave over eight thousand dollars to the ministry God has given to Danny & Pam Long.  Plus, another very nice gift was given to them following the service.  Hallelujah!  Thank you Friendship family!

A team of twenty something folks from Moline CRC in Michigan is set to arrive on GRACE Mountain early tonight.  Pray for them to have a good day of traveling and then a good week of ministry.

Supposed to be a windy and possible wet day today for those of us in Southwest Alabama.  Stay safe and dry.

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 2/16/22

Welcome to the “afternoon” blog entry.  No excuse or explanation – just be happy to have an entry today – LOL!

Dusty Coffman was discharged from the hospital.  Keep praying for him.

Edwina Perkins has been admitted to the hospital with a low blood issue.  Tilena was pushing to get her out of the hospital as quickly as possible.  Pray for Edwina.

Ray Stringfellow will be having a surgical procedure to hopefully help him be able to breathe much easier.  Pray for Ray.

There was an earthquake in Guatemala around 1:30AM today.  All is well on GRACE Mountain.  Soy & Deidra were awakened by the tremor, got the girls up, and stood under the door frames (I would be getting outside).  Soy viewed the cameras at the school and nothing moved which tells me that building is very well built.  The apartment building where they live did move some from side to side.  Thank God for His watch care.

Good service last night.  One more service which begins tonight at 6:30PM.  Praying for God to move in a mighty way.  Praying for a miracle offering for Bro. Danny and Miss Pam.

Friendship family, please attend tonight.  Please pray about supporting this ministry through your financial gifts.  Please bring others with you.  Pray!

In my opinion, hooray for the voters in San Francisco.  Just saying!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday afternoon with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 2/15/22

Late entry!  My apologies.

The Lord blessed us with a good service last night.  The attendance was “good” but it could have and should have been much better.  Aunt Pam once again presented a nice message in song and the Bro. Danny preached a clear Word on joy.  Praise the Lord for His blessings!

Dusty Coffman remains in the hospital.  The thought is that he will be discharged today.  Keep praying for Dusty.

Cecil Guidry sent word to me yesterday that Ray Stringfellow had been taken to the hospital with breathing difficulties.  Pray for Ray, Nina and the family.

Tonight’s service begins at 6:30PM.  Hope many members of the Friendship family will be in attendance along with guests.  Pray, attend, bring others with you.

I appreciate Bro. Jerry helping me out yesterday by doing a special ministry.

The Lord showed up and He showed out last night through an amazing financial gift to GRACE Ministries.  Absolutely amazing!  Do you know that God is good?  He is!

Speaking of finances, my prayer is that the Friendship family will bless Bro. Danny & Pam with an absolutely fantastic love offering this week.  Thank you to those who have given already.  I am praying that tonight and tomorrow night will see us give in a way that will honor God and bless Bro. Danny & Pam.  Pray and then give sacrificially!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 2/14/22

Happy birthday to my brother, Eddie.  I hope that his day is blessed.  Eddie & Sue have positively impacted so many folks through their generosity.  They are great caregivers to our mama and I will be forever grateful.  Happy birthday, Eddie!

Dusty Coffman is in the hospital having had exploratory surgery this past Saturday. The surgery did allow them to diagnose his problem.  Jamie asked that we pray for a quick healing.

The Lord blessed us with a good Sunday.  Aunt Pam did a nice job of sharing the message in song during both services.  Bro. Danny did very well as he brought us the Word of God through preaching.  The morning attendance was strong and the evening attendance was good.  Praise the Lord!

Tonight, we will begin our service at 6:30PM.  I am encouraging each member of the Friendship family to pray, attend and bring someone with you.

Lord, send a revival and let it begin in me.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 2/11/22

Happy eighty-third birthday to my mama.  I hope she will have a blessed day.  (Today also marks my dad’s eighty-sixth birthday) So, as crazy as it sounds, I am leaving in a bit to head to Hartselle in order to see mama and then will drive back home early in the morning in order to be home before noon.  Yes, Lisa is going with me because she wants to see mama and she is worried about me driving so much in such a short period of time.

Pray for Phil Morgan and family as they will be in Sweet Water, AL for his mama’s celebration of life service.

Our friend, Decker Terry, in Montgomery got a good report from his recent surgery.  Praise the Lord!

Basketball awards night tomorrow beginning at 5:00PM.

Revival services begin Sunday at 10:30AM.  Preceded by Sunday School beginning at 9:15AM.  Pray for revival.

Folks planning on taking part in the June 16 – 23 GRACE Ministries trip MUST email me by Sunday, 2/20.  This applies to those who have already signed up.  No email, no spot on the team.  Important.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 2/10/22

This entry is considerably late.  My apologies.

Bro. Jerry tells me that everything went well in the services yesterday morning and evening.  I had already heard that our morning attendance was good and he said the same was true for the evening service.  Thank you to those who were faithful to attend the services.

Visitation with the Valerie Morgan family this afternoon from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Serenity Funeral Home.  Keep praying for the family.

R.B. “Pat” Patterson is a dear friend of Andy & Betty Hamil.  He has been having some physical problems in recent weeks.  Pray for Pat Patterson in Gadsden.

Our basketball leagues will have their awards ceremony this Saturday, 2/12, beginning at 5:00PM in the CAB.  It is going to be a great event featuring the “crazy tie guy!”  He will then be in our children’s church on Sunday morning.

Pray for Evangelist Danny Long as he prepares to come preach at Friendship this Sunday morning, 2/13, at 10:30AM and then again that afternoon at 5:00PM.  Pray for revival!  YAM!

I am presently in Guatemala City and will soon be heading to the airport to come home.  Scheduled to land in Mobile at 9:35PM.  Pray for traveling mercies.

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.
