IMPORTANT PRAYER REQUEST – 3/10/22

Katie Tillman’s father, Scott Howard, will be having surgery first thing this morning.  Pray that all will go as planned.  I firmly believe that Scott is the reason Katie is such a sweetheart as I know her mama!

THURSDAY, 3/10/22

Donnie Felps will be having a surgical procedure this morning.  I am not exactly sure what this procedure will involve but ask that you pray for Donnie and the doctors.

Steve Morris needs to have further testing done per the test he had yesterday.  He is waiting on insurance approval for the next test to be scheduled.  Pray for Steve.

Rachel Walton ended up having a total knee replacement yesterday.  She remained in the hospital overnight and I “assume” that she will be discharged today.  Pray for Rachel.

Bro. Jerry’s procedure went well yesterday.  He should be back in the office today.  Thank you for praying.

Miss Connie Hardy has encountered a slight problem that prevented her from coming to the service last night.  She is also dealing with considerable pain from the surgery.  Keep praying!

Aninha’s Aunt Ruth remains basically the same so just keep praying.

Beth Rockwell remains at home.  Pray for Beth and Chuck.

We had a strong attendance in our morning service yesterday and the evening service had an even stronger attendance.  Praise the Lord!  Friendship family, thank you for being faithful!

It looks now as we will have rain through tomorrow morning and then some cooler temperatures Saturday and Sunday.  They are predicting a low of twenty-seven degrees on Saturday night – how awesome is that!  (I do not have a garden this year so I do not have to be concerned with the colder temperatures)

Women’s Bible study at Pearl’s house this morning at 10:00AM.

McKemie Place ministry tonight featuring the speaking (not preaching) ministry of Jeanette Bates.  Contact Amy Huhn for more information.  (By the way, have you noticed the huge smile on Amy’s face the last week or so?)

I shared with the Friendship family in the two services yesterday where Lisa and I are in our life.  Some tough sledding.  Thank you for the prayers.  Thank you for the encouragement.  I am sincerely trying to find God and His will for me in all of this.

Finally, I had no idea that Nanette Fontenot is around four years older than her husband, Scott.  Wow!

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

WEDNESDAY, 3/9/22

Rachel Walton will be undergoing surgery on her knee today.  Pray that all goes well.

Bro. Jerry is having a medical procedure today that will sideline him all day.  Pray that it will have the desired effect.

Marisa contacted me yesterday afternoon saying that the doctors are not exactly one hundred percent in agreement as to what they will do about Donnie’s toe.  One says they will treat it while another says they will clean it up in a surgical procedure.  Will they need to amputate the toe?  That is up for debate.  So, pray for the doctors, Donnie and Marisa.

Aninha’s Aunt Ruth is sleeping most of the time but is alert when awake. She is not eating but does sip on water when she is awake.  Pray for mercy.

Eddie Albritton’s has a co-worker whose sister passed away.  She lived out West.  Young lady.  Pray for the family as they go through this time.

Jeanette Bates is counting down the days when she will have hip replacement surgery.  Pray for the pain to be bearable until she can have the surgery.

Regular schedule on our campus this morning and evening.  We will do something in the auditorium today that I have never done  on a Wednesday.  Just FYI.

Looks like today and tonight will be on the wet side.  If so, be safe.

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.

TUESDAY, 3/8/22

Let’s begin with good news.  Coley & Katelyn Johnson have had a specific prayer request that was answered in a “God only” way yesterday.  They are extremely grateful to God for “moving mountains!”  I join them in giving God the glory and thanks for His working in the life of their family.

I was thinking Donnie Felps would be having surgery soon.  However, I was wrong!  The doctors actually plan to have wound care   on Donnie’s foot to see if that will bring healing.  This is going to be very difficult on Donnie as the pain is very great without anyone touching his foot.  Pray for Donnie.

Keep praying for Miss Connie Hardy, Beth Rockwell and Aninha Barrett’s Aunt Ruth.

Regular schedule on our campus tomorrow morning and evening.

I did not feel as if my preaching and teaching (SS) were good this past Sunday.  However, I received several messages Sunday night and yesterday with folks sharing how God used the messages to speak to them.  I appreciate the encouraging words.

I am grateful to Eddie Albritton for lending a helping hand to me yesterday.  Eddie is willing to help and I am grateful.

I wrote in yesterday’s entry that I felt Kentucky would win the SEC championship in basketball.  Obviously, I was speaking of the upcoming league tournament.  I predict Auburn will win the regular season championship!

I pray that you will have a great Tuesday with Jesus.

MONDAY, 3/7/22

Donnie Felps has been admitted to the hospital.  Plans are to do a Doppler test on his legs this morning.  He is also going to need wound care on his feet.  Pray for Donnie and Marisa.

I did not get to speak to Aninha yesterday so I am assuming that her Aunt Ruth’s condition remains about the same.  Keep praying.

As far as I know, Eddie Brinkman’s surgery went well.  I do know that he was out and about later the day of surgery which is no surprise knowing Eddie.  Pray for a quick recovery.

Keep praying for Elaine Brown as she recovers from her surgery.

Miss Connie Hardy has been in a lot of pain since her most recent surgery.  She wanted to attend the services yesterday but that would have been too much pain wise.  Keep praying for Miss Connie.

Keep praying for Miss Beth Rockwell as she recovers at home.

We were blessed with a good day in our services yesterday.  The proverbial icing on the cake was to worship with William & Stacey Sessions as they followed the Lord in believers baptism.  We give God the glory.

Regular schedule on our campus this Wednesday morning and evening.

This Sunday, 3/13, is time change Sunday which means we set our time pieces forward one hour before going to bed on Saturday night thus “losing” an hour of sleep.  Congress, leave the clocks alone!

Congratulations to the Auburn men’s basketball team for winning the SEC regular season championship.  I am picking Kentucky to win the league championship but will not be surprised if Auburn wins that title too.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

FRIDAY, 3/4/22

Eddie Brinkman is scheduled to have rotator cuff surgery today.  (More affectionately known as rotator “cup” around these parts)  Pray that all goes well.

Miss Connie Hardy’s surgery went well.  The surgeon added some extra hardware and has put a stronger cast on her arm.  Keep praying for Miss Connie.

Elaine Brown’s surgical procedure went well too and she came home.  Pray for Elaine.

I “think” Miss Beth Rockwell was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  Keep praying.

Eddie Albritton’s doctor wants to see him again on 11/22 as they have a concerned about the results of his latest test.  It “seems” that a heart cath may be in order but that is a guess on my part.  Pray for Eddie.

No update on Aninha’s Aunt Ruth.  Pray.

No word on the arrangements for Ray Stringfellow.  Pray for the family.

Regular schedule on our campus this Sunday morning and evening.  We will baptize as a part of our second morning service.

I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.

THURSDAY, 3/3/22

MARCH GLADNESS! (PSALM 122:1)

Elaine Brown is scheduled to have a surgical procedure today.  It is supposed to be outpatient.  Pray for all to go well.

Elaine’s brother, Eddie Brinkman, scheduled to have rotator cuff surgery tomorrow.  I am told that is not a fun surgery/recovery. Pray for the surgery to be a success.

Miss Connie Hardy will be having another surgical procedure this afternoon.  Something has gone wrong from the first surgery so this is basically a “mulligan!”  Pray for Miss Connie.

Ray Stringfellow was discharged from the hospital but then taken back and admitted again.  He is very low physically and is seemingly nearing his end on this earth.  Pray for Ray and his family.

Aninha Barrett’s Aunt Ruth continues to seemingly linger near death’s door.  Pray for Aunt Ruth and her family.

Beth Rockwell is back in the hospital.  Pray for Beth, Chuck and the medical folks treating her.

Deanna Wetterer’s mother has been in Texas receiving treatments for a malignancy.  She had a heart attack a couple of days ago.  The decision has been made to not do open heart surgery but rather depend on the stents to suffice.  This will allow her to continue to receive her treatments.  Pray for Miss Sue.

James Harrington was discharged from the hospital yesterday.

Andy & Betty Hamil arrived home yesterday afternoon.

I am thinking that Case Brewer also got to come home after his procedure yesterday.

Pray for the situation in Ukraine.

Ladies’ Bible study at 10:00AM this morning at Pearl’s house.  All ladies are invited to attend.

Regular schedule on our campus this Sunday morning and evening.

Yard sale coming March 17, 18 & 19.  Contact Bro. Jerry for more information.

Soccer leagues begin play on March 26.  Contact Bro. Abel for more information.

Finally moved some coffee beans last night.  Still have more that I would love to move.  Contact Lisa or me.

I pray that you will have a great Thursday with Jesus.

ONE MORE PRAYER REQUEST

Miss Vinnie Brewer shared with me late yesterday afternoon that her great-grandson, Case, will go back to the hospital today in order to have his cast removed and another put on.  Pray for all to go well.
