“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalm 119:11)

I will “sometimes” post things in these entries that “may not” be totally true if you did not know that already.  However, this is something that is of utmost importance and very serious as I call each of you to prayer.  I was mowing late yesterday afternoon when someone pulled up and began walking toward me.  That person had a very, very serious prayer request and came to ask me to pray with them.  Their words were, “Bro. Teddy, I need a miracle!”  They asked that their identity and request be kept confidential for right now but did ask me to call folks to prayer as God knows the need.  Basically, the medical folks have given them a very short period to time to live and if you knew the situation you would say “there is no way that can be true.”  We prayed together.  It broke my heart and I spent the next couple of hours praying as I mowed.  Would you stop right now and just pray for a miracle?  Please.

The surgery on Bro. Jerry & Tena’s granddaughter went well.  Praise the Lord!

If everything went as planned, Ella Bosarge was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  When I visited she was eager to get out of that place.  Very grateful for the Lord’s touch on her body.  Keep praying for a complete recovery.

Infant Nash Lynch was much improved as of yesterday morning.  When I stopped by around 10:00AM or so, he had not had a seizure since 3:30PM the day before which was obviously great.  Keep praying for Nash, his parents and family and the medical folks charged with his care.

My visit with Wanda Jordan was very brief as she was a very sick lady.  Wanda needs our fervent prayers.

Stopped by to see Lillian Brinkman yesterday afternoon and she was not having a good day.  Miss Lillian is such a sweetheart but she simply did not feel good at all yesterday.  Pray for Miss Lillian!

Sonny Bates has begun his series of radiation treatments.  Pray for Sonny and pray these treatments have the desired effect.

Wednesday night following our service a mother came to me to tell of her child’s being recognized at the Salvation Army of Coastal Alabama’s annual luncheon earlier that day.  Great honor.  One of twelve high school students in the entire area to receive this reward.  She then proceeded to tell me that her child met “Teddy Bradshaw.”  I said “great” even though I had no clue who this Teddy Bradshaw person was.  Well, I read the story on al.com yesterday morning about Terry Bradshaw being in Mobile to speak at said luncheon.  I have copied and pasted a small part of that article:

“At the luncheon, the Salvation Army presented this year’s Henry and Jill Toomer Doing the Most Good Award to 12 high school students.

The winners included Connor Howard of Blount, Aaron Gilliland of Alma Bryant, Baryle Davenport of Chickasaw, Matthew Nicholas of Cottage Hill Christian, Zane Hall of Faith, Riddic Barnes of McGill-Toolen, Mackenzie Busby of Mobile Christian, Brayden Moore of Spanish Fort, Grant Murray of St. Michael, Landon Rawlins of St. Paul’s, Jack McAnnally of UMS-Wright and Jamarcus Grayson of Williamson.”

I am not going to throw this mother under the proverbial bus for saying “Teddy Bradshaw” but I do congratulate her child on receiving this reward.

Bryant, Faith Academy, and UMS (Mobile Chrisitian) all host games tonight.  Resurrection travels to Hattiesburg.  Theodore has the night off.  Best of luck to each of these teams.

Not a ton of drama left in the MLB’s final weekend of regular season play.  I think Pastor Jack Bailey’s Indians are toast but stranger things have happened.  Can the Brewers overtake the Cardinals or the Nationals?  That is the only real drama this weekend.  I hope Bobby and the boys win out!

Lisa is in Birmingham.  I got my assigned chores done yesterday afternoon and last night (only slept one hour as the list was pretty exhaustive) so I get to drive up today to meet her and then attend the Bama game tomorrow afternoon.  Here is the deal – when we return home tomorrow night she is going to complain that I did not properly make the bed.  However, what she will not know is that I did not sleep in the bed last night so it will actually be her criticizing her own work – I cannot wait!  (Some of you may want to read my very first sentence in this post again – just saying!)

Lord willing, I will visit my parents and an Uncle this afternoon.  My uncle is on hospice.  He and my aunt are the reason I am an Alabama football fan so you know he has to be a great guy.

This entry has been way too long.  I pray that you will have a great Friday with Jesus.
