MONDAY, 1/27/14

Today’s Bible reading – Exodus 4:1-5:21, Matthew 18:1-20, Psalm 22:19-31, Proverbs 5:15-21

It is now 5:30AM.  Rob Nevin did indeed suffer a stroke somewhere between 1:00 – 1:30AM.  He has been moved to NICU.  Initially lost use of his right arm but had regained a good bit of use while in the ER.  However, as of this writing, Rob has not been able to speak.  Pray for Rob & Reb.  Their daughter, Holly, who is a PA will be catching a flight from Indiana this morning.  Pray for safety in travel.

Bro. Jerry & Miss Gloria Whitmore drove Reb to the hospital and are still with her.  I really appreciate their ministry to Rob & Reb during this difficult time.

Bill Goff was admitted to the hospital yesterday.

Carolyn Blaylock was admitted to the hospital last night.

Nikki Burwell remains basically the same.  Her mother, Miss Mary, gave me an update following last night’s service.  They will not try to awaken her before Thursday.

The visitation with the Ed Whitehurst family takes place tonight in Starkville, MS.  I had plans to travel there for the funeral tomorrow afternoon but the weather forecast will most likely change those plans.  So, I will most likely travel to the visitation tonight instead.  Pray for Larry and the entire Whitehurst family.

Good services yesterday.  What a joy to see Paul Seymour follow Jesus in believer’s baptism as a part of our evening service.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

    From ACLJ News letter,

There is a glimmer of hope for Pastor Saeed, a U.S. citizen imprisoned in Iran for his Christian faith.
Iran’s foreign minister, speaking to CNN about Pastor Saeed, said, “We have various clemency measures in Iran that can be introduced, happened in the past, can be introduced again in these cases.”
Is clemency possible? Could Pastor Saeed be released?
Because of you, Pastor Saeed’s name has been raised at the highest levels of international diplomacy; now we’re calling on you with a very specific appeal.
Let’s take Iran’s foreign minister at his word. Let’s ask for clemency for Pastor Saeed.
Now is the time to speak with one voice. Iran, grant clemency. Send Pastor Saeed home to Idaho. Sign our NEW petition at the Be Heard website. Let’s build on this moment of hope.

Sign Our New Petition Urging Clemency for Pastor Saeed.

    ACLJ Executive Director
