Yesterday was a blessed day in our services.  The Spirit was excellent, decisions were made at the altar in each service, the attendance was very good and God blessed in so many ways.  He is good!

Dale did a nice job of sharing the Word last night.  Thank you for supporting Karla and him financially.  I do not know the amount of the love offering but will find out today.

I did not get a chance to speak to Liz Whalen in our services yesterday but she was kind enough to post a comment on yesterday’s blog entry.  You can read it for an update on her uncle who remains hospitalized.

Scott Fontenot should be discharged from the hospital today.  I hope to catch him at the hospital this morning.

Bill Teasley was discharged from the hospital yesterday morning.  It is my understanding that he will not be receiving his chemo treatment this week.

Bro. Johnny’s sister, Margaret Ann, has had some pain issues over the weekend with her cancer.  Pray for her and for her family.

The Friendship family did well in “pounding the pantry” yesterday.  My goal is to give those who manage the food pantry another problem – no where to put all the food as June comes to a close!  Bring those non-perishables to any service.  Thank you!

“A great supper” takes place this Saturday night, 6/7, beginning at 6:00PM with our worship service.  Pray for this outreach!

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.

There have been breaking developments in Meriam Ibrahim’s death penalty case over the weekend.
First, a senior Sudanese official stated that Sudan was set “to free” Meriam.
Now, Sudan is retracting that statement, saying instead that it will wait for a court to rule on her appeal.
There is no doubt Sudan is trying to stop the growing wave of international pressure.
As her attorneys in Sudan said, “It’s a statement to silence the international media. This is what the government does.”
    We must not be silenced.
We’re redoubling our efforts around the globe. Sudan is cracking under the pressure.
But if we let up, Meriam will be executed for her Christian faith and her two American children in prison with her will be turned over to radical Islamists.
    Don’t be silenced. Be heard.
    Demand Meriam’s Freedom.
