WEDNESDAY, 1/28/09

Tina Sprinkle is scheduled for surgery early this morning so please pray for her.  In my opinion, she got good news yesterday when they moved her “up” to 7:30AM from 9:00AM.  You always want to be “first” on that list!

The funeral service for Kayla Huffstutler’s grandmother will be tonight in Trussville.  Pray for her family as they go through the visitation and service.  The private burial will take place tomorrow morning.

Amy Moulds Seab has been placed on complete bed rest by her doctor as she progresses in her pregnancy.  She is due March 6.  Pray for Amy & Adam as they anticipate the arrival of their second child.  Could it be another set of octuplets in the same calendar year?  Wasn’t that amazing?  Who is John & Kate?

Continue to pray for Shea Childress, Carla Felps, Joyce Bosarge, and Jimmy Crawley as they battle their respective cancers.

Bro. Johnny & Miss Judy Tucker have asked us to pray for their granddaughter, Bonnie Clair, as she is battling an infection (psuedomonas) right now.  This could require a month long hospitalization.

Jon Cowart has been leading our students in worship for a little over a year now.  With the calling of a fulltime student minister, Jon will no longer be coming here on Wednesday nights.  I appreciate the work Jon has done in helping our students in the area of musical worship.  Actually, Chris is the one who got Jon to come as they were classmates at USA.  Thanks Jon for all you have done!

Our students are selling gourmet apples for Valentine’s Day.  They are taking orders through this Sunday evening, 2/1.  If you want to order one or more, call the church office today or tomorrow.  Or, you can see one of the students this Sunday.  (The students going on a GRACE trip this summer are the ones selling the apples)

Chris tells me that only two spots remain for Wild Week.  First come, first served!

We have a team from the Friendship CRC of Byron Center, MI in Guatemala right now.  I am not hearing much from them but assume that no news is good news.  Pray for them!

Mark Mast came through with an appropriate apology but I must send him some cheese!  Thanks Mark and apology accepted!

I pray that you will have a great Wednesday with Jesus.  By the way, I will be baptizing in our 7:00PM service tonight – come worship with us!
