“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”  (Psalm 119:11)

The Lord blessed and we enjoyed a good day in our services yesterday.  Yes, our attendance was down due to an enormously large number of the Friendship family being out of town because of the MCPSS Spring break.  However, the folks who stayed in town were faithful and for that I am grateful.  As a matter of fact, one family is staying on the island this week and they drove to Grand Bay for Sunday School, the 10:30AM service and the 6:00PM service – how about that!

Jeanette and the choir did a very nice job in presenting the Gospel through song in last night’s service.  I appreciate all of the effort they put into that presentation of the Gospel.  The proverbial icing on the cake was when Edward Meredith came during the invitation to make a public profession of faith and desiring to be baptized.  To God be the glory!

Joe Ladnier remains in the hospital.  Kathy told me yesterday that they are in “hopes” he could be discharged this Friday.  I suspect that if not Joe may go all McGyver on them – just saying.  Keep praying for Joe!

Brenda Poiroux remains in the hospital but was moved into a regular room yesterday.  I visited with Brenda on Saturday and she looked better than any post surgery heart patient I have ever seen and I have seen a large number of them.  She is doing remarkably well.  Keep praying!

Anna Carol Bosarge was discharged from the hospital on Friday and was in our early service yesterday.  She looked good.  Keep praying for Anna Carol.

I “think” Jerry Poiroux was discharged from the hospital Saturday afternoon.  I do know he was sitting on ready!  Pray for Jerry.

Eddie Albritton’s dad was discharged from the hospital yesterday.  He still has a piece of a kidney stone in one of his kidneys but they will address that later.  Pray that he will do well.

Pastor Andy Miller is Edna Glover’s nephew.  He has been battling cancer for several years and passed from this life last Thursday.  The visitation is tonight and the service tomorrow in Ellisville, Mississippi.  My cousin-in-law, Pastor Roy Crouch, will be leading that celebration of life service.  Pray for the Miller family.

We are not having any services, classes, meetings, et cetera this Wednesday, April 17 – morning or evening.  Please note this and pass the word!

I am in hopes that all of the members of the Friendship family who are out of town will return home by this Saturday and then be in place for our services on Resurrection Sunday.  We will have a 6:00AM sunrise service and then a 10:30AM service.  Sunday School for all departments will take place at 9:15AM.

How about Tiger Woods?  I am not a Tiger fan but I do respect what he did by winning the Masters this past weekend.  Lisa got emotional – are you serious!

Bobby and the boys remain at five hundred.  Bobby will have a good week as his family is going to spend some time with him this week.  Pray for them to have a great few days together.

I pray that you will have a great Monday with Jesus.
