FRIDAY, JUNE 1

I am running a little late in posting today and I apologize for that slothfulness.  I decided to do some e-mailing first and time has gotten away from me.

First, the “blog” is growing.  I keep up with our numbers each month and May was the busiest month we’ve had in regards to hits on our website.  I am sure that Dobson and some of the others are still slightly ahead of us but we are gaining ground.  We have increased readership by 270% since January.  So, I would like to thank my wife, my mother, my niece in Hartselle, and the other two readers for being faithful!

Deacon Dewayne uploaded the most recent issue of our newsletter this past Wednesday.  Take a moment to read it to get a better glimpse into what is happening within the Friendship family.

James Swann, Martha Patrick’s brother, did not have surgery yesterday as they couldn’t work him into the schedule.  Maybe today.

Jackie Goff was doing better and was really wanting to go home from the hospital.  Marie Howard was diagnosed with a germ which has been eradicated but she will be in the hospital for a few more days.  Marisa Whitehurst has an infection and was still in the hospital as of yesterday afternoon.  I haven’t heard a definitive word but assume that Jeff Long’s mother and Vance May did well in their respective surgeries yesterday.  Please pray for all of these situations.

I received another text message from Chris Taylor yesterday and their first day went well.  He said it has been raining a lot and that is hindering them a bit.  They are all doing great.

One of our own, Wes Bates, who serves as Student Minister at Durant Chapel Baptist in Baldwin County will lead a team of 33 or so on a mission trip to Freeport, Texas next week.  They leave early in the morning so pray for their safety in travel and that they will have a good week of ministry.

I am a bit lost this weekend as I don’t have a wedding ceremony.  However, I think I will survive!  I am looking forward to seeing Crystal, Alyssa, and Garrett Mason this Sunday.  Late night bowling is always a blast.  VBS is going to be great!  Pray!

I haven’t spoken to Bro. Johnny since their return from the Philippines.  However, I do know that tomorrow, 6/2, is his birthday – 90th?  His e-mail address is jmt82347@bellsouth.net and his phone number is 251-866-7213 in the event you would like to wish him a happy birthday.

Well, it is off to try and get into that Will which means mowing, mowing, and more mowing!  Hope you have a wonderful day!

P.S. – I have forgotten to mention this week that Nate Blaylock has been suffering with a runny nose and the sniffles – please!
