FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12
Yes! I went outside earlier this morning to mow our front lawn and there was actually a bit of “Fall” in the air as the temps were considerably cooler. Not enough to keep me from working up a sweat but nice nonetheless.
I am heading out the door to drive to Memphis to visit Michael & Deidra. Michael and I had such a good time “bonding” last weekend that I decided he needed some more bonding time with his father-in-law. Actually, I have a meeting early this afternoon with Bret Hart and Ryan Johnston to discuss GRACE Ministries. These guys are from Faith Baptist in Bartlett, TN. Ryan is the Minister to College Students. Bret was on a trip with us last July and has become a good personal friend and a great friend of GRACE Ministries. Bret’s major flaw is that he is a Razorback fan but we are working on correcting that!
It just so happens that Bama is playing in Oxford in the morning so I will stop by on my way home to attend the game. Lisa’s cousin, Rhonda Clark, and her husband, Paul, have graciously provided a couple of tickets for Deidra and me. She is on Fall Break from seminary next week and will come home for a few days. What a coincidence that I am going to Memphis and Bama is in Oxford on that same weekend – wow!
I was called to the convalescent home last night to pray with the family of Minnie Boykin. Miss Minnie is 93 years old and is the oldest sister of Frank Boykin. She is the aunt of Marisa Felps. It appears that her time on earth is about complete so please pray for her and the family during this time.
Our prayer team will meet tomorrow night at 8:00PM. You are invited to join them in this intercessory ministry.
T. Garrett Wright – good to hear from you yesterday!
I hope you will have a great day with Jesus.
